8/5/10 New On-Site Manager At the July 26th Board Meeting, Board President Don Marion resigned as President and from the Board in order to accept the contracted position as On-Site Property Manager for GRCA. Vice President Heidi Wunsch will be the acting President for the interim until new elections are held. LCM Property Management has been retained to continue to handle all of the financial matters for GRCA, but the "big project" physical concerns will now be handled by Don from the Office on-site.
7/15/10 Declaration and Bylaw Amendments to be Proposed The proposed amendments provide that the number of Association homeowners (members) needed to have a quorum at annual meetings be lowered from 33% to 20%. This means that we will need 75 (instead of 125) members either present or represented by proxy in order to be able to elect Board members. If a quorum is not achieved the Board itself is required to appoint replacements for those Board members whose terms expire. Another provision of the proposed amendments is to reduce the number of affirmative votes needed to adopt future amendments to the Declaration and Bylaws. The proposed amendments would allow 51% (190) of the members to make changes in these documents. This is a reduction from the 67% now required and would make it more feasible to make needed amendments in the future. Additional proposed changes address outmoded rules concerning pets and the amounts charged for certain fines and penalties. __________________________________________________________________________ ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING __________________________________________________________________________ Innovative Technologies at GRCA A word from Darco. Here at the office I try to improve the technologies and allow residents to have a better experience at the clubhouse. I am also looking into future plans that will make everyone's life a little easier or and better thru innovative technologies. I also designed a new check-in program so that we can keep everything in order and can make reports. We also have updated our main server which is powerful enough to run 50 web applications at the same time with no problem. We also have improved the backup systems, this means no more missing files...Everything is backed up! Our new router is capable of handling 200 or more connections. The WiFi has also improved, you can now connect 150 feet further with any WiFi device. The connection speeds are not bad with 22Mbits download and 10Mbits upload, depending on how far you are. We will soon have online HOA payments there will be link on this homepage soon so keep an eye out when you visit our homepage. I will continue to try my best to fix and manage all technologies we have here at GRCA, and will look at new plans that will help improve the technology experience at GRCA.
